LAUREL, MD – A man was struck in the head by an excavator while he was working.
At approximately 7:50 AM, rescuers and paramedics were dispatched to a report of a subject suffering an injury at a construction site at Palace Hall Drive and Skylark Boulevard in northern Laurel.
Emergency workers arrived to find a subject who had been struck in the head by a bucket excavator. Unfortunately, the patient succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
Fire & Rescue units turned the scene over to Howard County Police, who worked in conjunction with Maryland Occupational and Safety to investigate the incident.
